As the leading pool service provider in the Modesto/Turlock area, we hold ourselves to a superior standard. Still, pool service is a collaborative process. As seasons change, depending on your surroundings, your pool may require some extra attention during non-service days in order to keep your equipment in top shape all year long. Below you will find seasonal tips and instructions for simple tasks that can be done to assure you get the maximum life out of your swimming pool surface (i.e. plaster, quarts or pebble tec.) and equipment. |
Keeping your equipment area cleanThis is important for a number of reasons, the first being safety. Your filter pump can run up to 8 hours a day. When debris, foliage or pool toys are allowed to build up around equipment, it creates a fire hazard. Heat from your electric motor, or a spark from motor failure can potentially cause a fire. Also, the additional heat from blocking the motor can cause it run hotter than it should, which can cause the motor to fail prematurely.

Proper water level
The white line on the tile above is the recommended water level. Allowing your water level to become too low can cause your pump to run dry, comparable to an engine running without oil, and will eventually burn up the plastic impeller and rubber o rings inside the pump housing. Keeping your water level too high can cause water to get under your deck, causing your deck to crack and tile to fall off the side of your swimming pool.
Even if you have an auto fill, you should check your swimming pool water level at least once a week. |
Skimmer and pump basketsAt certain times of the year or after storms, mainly during Fall, dumping your baskets once a week may not be enough. We recommend you check your baskets 3-4 days after your scheduled service day and dump them if necessary. Full baskets can lead to clogged pipes, pump failure, algae build up due to improper water circulation, or stains on your swimming pool surface
